Kdor ga ima

Kdor ga ima / Whoever has it

An exhibition on housing and living issues

Layerjeva hiša, Kranj

20.1-28.2.2026

Opening: 20.1.2026, 18:00

What does it mean to have a home? What does it mean to have a place where you can retreat, where you hide or where you create?

On January 20, 2026, in Layerjeva hiša, we are opening an exhibition that explores contemporary living and housing issues through poetic, critical and speculative approaches.

The exhibition Whoever has it it raises questions of the home as a fragile construct – space of desire, memory, security, but also exclusion, emptiness and inaccessibility.

The exhibited works treat the house, apartment, wall, neighborhood and city as physical and symbolic structures within which broader social relations are reflected: ownership and temporality, collapse and imagination, isolation and community, intimacy and system. From meditative images of abandoned villas, children’s houses made of sheets, empty houses with a light that invites but remains unattainable, to sound walls, recording neighborhood views and speculative models of temporary living, the – exhibition interweaves personal experiences with current spatial and economic issues.

It does not offer unequivocal answers, but opens up space for reflection: who has a home, who does not have one, who can imagine it and who is forced to constantly rebuild it – at least in thought, play or art.
